For your convenience, telehealth visits are available for most of our medication assisted weight loss options. Laboratory blood work can be done at a lab near you or in our office. The prescription versions we use are custom made from a compounding pharmacy. The medications and supplies can be sent directly to your home for self-injection or you can stop into our office for injections.

Injections are administered once-a-week by a subcutaneous injection (into fat) with a small insulin syringe. The dose is gradually increased over time, allowing you to continue to feel the amazing benefits of this medication. Our trained staff will work with you each week to help find the exact amount that you need to allow this medication to work its magic on you while feeling your best!

We offer weight loss injections for current Atlas clients as an add on medication to their existing plans to provide additional support during our program. We also offer it as a stand-alone service for clients simply looking to use injections to help continue their weight loss journey.

Our injectable medications such as semaglutide and tirzepetide mimic the effect of "feeling full" resulting in a decreased caloric intake. The injection will delay gastric emptying by reducing glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner. The delay in gastric emptying can reduce appetite, improve control of eating, and reduce food cravings.

Most common side effects of semaglutide and tirzepetide are: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, tiredness (fatigue), upset stomach, dizziness, feeling bloated, belching, gas, stomach flu, and heartburn. Note that most of these are manageable by proper dosing and some overlap with the intended effect of "feeling full".
